The original upstairs lounge was converted to a Business Class cabin. The seats were arranged in pairs to improve cabin service. The Qantas Business Class seats offered the same level of comfort that some other airlines offered with their First Class seats.

Captain Fred Fox - Qantas Acceptance Captain (carried out the performance flights with Captain Laurie Clark);

Bob Walker - Qantas Engineering Director (led the team that negotiated and implemented the aircraft's specifications and contract with Boeing);

Ted Fargas - Qantas Chief Flight Engineering Director (the acceptance Flight Engineer who worked on the specifications of VH-EBA with Flight Engineer Fred Burke);

Ray Davies - Manager Engineering and Maintenance Support Services (the Inspector involved in the overseeing the construction of VH-EBA);

Bob Heleniak - Boeing Regional Sales Director (negotiated the original Boeing 747 contract and carried out the administrative work during the aircraft's construction).
